Spanish River Church is hosting a solar school in partnership with SonLight Power, Inc. (
www.sonlightpower.org). This school will provide an introduction to solar power as well as hands-on training in assembling and testing a solar power system. Here is a

The workshop will be similar to the
solar schools held at the SonLight training facility in
Cincinnati, Ohio.
We have two solar projects related to SRC church plants in Inda and Haiti planned for this year and this workshop will prepare you to be a part of a future install team on one of these projects (or you can attend just to get some hands-on experience with solar power).
SonLight Power, Inc. (
www.sonlightpower.org) is a Christian non-profit that has installed over 200 solar power systems in 14 countries over the past fifteen years. Installation sites include schools, orphanages and clinics, some in very remote regions. SonLight Power donates the design labor and oversight of each project and provides a discount on the purchase of solar equipment.
Solar experts from SonLight Power, will be leading the workshop training sessions.
Registration is $75 and includes course materials and meals on Saturday.
